Which calibers are Lee Enfields convertable to?

Lynyrd Skynyrd is very anti gun ie:" Mr Saturday Night Special" Who'd a thunk a Southern boy that don't like guns?? Harold

Seen a .303/.338 rebore on a shotout origonal Rigby mauser sporter in Rifle magazine.Harold * the 236 Lee navy can be made from 220 swift never heard off using .303?

I have a Winchester straight pull sporting rifle in .236 Lee navy and did not have a source of 220 swift shells. I made the .303 shells rimless, on the metal lathe, and reduced the base in diameter a trifle I think. If you have a metal lathe for rebarreling the action, you could leave the .303 as a rimmed shell and leave the base the same but from there on forward, duplicate the lee shell.

Maybe worth mentioning that I make my own chambering reamers in the form of D bits (spade bits) and use the same sort of bits to make my own loading dies. If you are stuck with buying commecial reamers and dies, you are looking at a lot more expense to follow my suggestion.

**there's a word of caution about the 303 Epps, There are different loads for each type of Lee Enfield action. In fact the No1 it would be a waste of time doing a conversion, The 303 Epps is best done on a P-14, I would also think the same for some of these calibers as well. Don't forget to see if you could do a conversion on a Ross MkIII sporter, That receiver can take any caliber you want.
