I was thinking about buying a new rifle. I will be using this rifle for moose, but I also bear hunt, and when the season is open again, caribou. I was also be using this rifle for coyotes. I was debating whether to buy the rifle in .308 or 7mm-08. Any suggestions?

You should buy one of these .......

You have already wisely narrowed your choices down to two excellent calibres.
Ballistically the two are pretty much indentical it comes down to splitting hairs when comparing the two.
Some could argue there is a slight advantage in using the 7mm-08 for longer distances (ie far past ethical hunting ranges but may be an advantage when target shooting) others will point out the easy availability of 308 ammunition.
My personal preference is the 308.
Good luck with your choice!

7mm-08, 308, 270 and 280 are all very good choices. Myself i would go for the 6.5x55 just cause i'm itchin' to get one but SuperCubs suggestion of the 7mm Mauser is right on the money too. If you're really not concerned of how the pelts will look when u nail coyotes, a plain old 30-06 is just fine too. Good luck.

If you're considering .308, why not make a bit of a jump to 30-06? More rounds available and much more power in the bigger loads.
