308 is perfect 7mm-08 is more expensive and less choice unless you reload

I would personally take a .308 based on variety and range of bullet weights. If you don't reload the .308 cost savings would be the deciding factor. That being said I almost 7mm-08 last year...

Thanks. I was leaning toward the 308, but just wanted to see what you guys had to say about the 7mm-08. There are some pretty big bears around here!!

308 if you dont reload you can get ammo anywhere ( canadian tire and walmart...), I myself havent seen any 7mm-08 ammo here in the Corner Brook area of NL, but if you reload the 7mm-08 is a great cartridge its what i have and i love it!

thanks for all the input, next to the 303, 308 ammo is rather easy to get around here.
