Sako sure does know how to offer something for everything and everyone.
What makes you say that I might be waiting for the 5 round mag?

Very true. I suppose if I were to buy a youth rifle for my wife, son or daughter I would look for a wood/laminate stock, DM and stainless barrel and action. Is this combo offered by any manufacturer in a youth model? I would probably buy a Sako 85 Hunter Stainless or a Tikka T3 Laminate Stainless and modify the stock and perhaps cut and re-crown the barrel. At least they offer the DM, wood/laminate stock and stainless option.
Stoeger Canada who imports Tikka into Canada hasnt had any t3 mags of any type in stock for almost a year, thats why! and they keep saying they will show up soon
where did you buy your Tikka????
For now I am lookin' at the T3 Hunter Stainless. Haven't found one yet, but I will. Super light gun. I am sure it will work sweet. I bet it's under a grand. Probably priced along side a comparable remy.Sako Laminate is too heavy for her, and I don't want to drop $2000 on it and cut it at both ends. Even the Tikka LS with mounts and spare mag would run $1200 with taxes, and then another $150 to cut & crown the barrel, and modify the stock and add a new pad. Then add the optics.
When you get one for S, let me take a look at it.![]()
