Which choice should I make in a predator gun?

I am going to buy a set of shooting sticks or a bi-pod for it, so I wont have to hang onto it a whole pile. I got the five shot clip for the range. Hopefully it wont be too bad. It comes with the 3 shot clip.

bought a tikka t3 lite .243 at ellwood epps on friday for coyotes for 599 shot it on the weekend and it was so great to shoot and a real tack driver , don't get me wrong i love my remingtonsand savages but i have seen the light and it is the Tikka T3 ( plus its a sako barrel and trigger too)

Gotta get me one. Nothing but great reports. Sako sure does know how to offer something for everything and everyone. Everytime I look for a rifle with particular characteristics I always end up looking at Tikka or Sako. Them Finlanders sure do know what they are doin'.

Very true. I suppose if I were to buy a youth rifle for my wife, son or daughter I would look for a wood/laminate stock, DM and stainless barrel and action. Is this combo offered by any manufacturer in a youth model? I would probably buy a Sako 85 Hunter Stainless or a Tikka T3 Laminate Stainless and modify the stock and perhaps cut and re-crown the barrel. At least they offer the DM, wood/laminate stock and stainless option.

I have already placed my order for the Tikka T3 Lite Synthetic Stainless. It will take approx. 4 weeks to get to me :( . Oh well good things come to those who wait! It will make me appreciate it all the more. I will have to continue to use the ol' Reminton 7600 .243 until then.

What makes you say that I might be waiting for the 5 round mag?

Stoeger Canada who imports Tikka into Canada hasnt had any t3 mags of any type in stock for almost a year, thats why! and they keep saying they will show up soon :bsFlag:

where did you buy your Tikka????

Sako Laminate is too heavy for her, and I don't want to drop $2000 on it and cut it at both ends. Even the Tikka LS with mounts and spare mag would run $1200 with taxes, and then another $150 to cut & crown the barrel, and modify the stock and add a new pad. Then add the optics.

When you get one for S, let me take a look at it.;)

Canadian Tire in Red Deer (South Side) has 1 X T3 mag behind the glass...don't remember what length though

For now I am lookin' at the T3 Hunter Stainless. Haven't found one yet, but I will. Super light gun. I am sure it will work sweet. I bet it's under a grand. Probably priced along side a comparable remy.

Call every gun shop you can that carries Savage. I just bought a Savage Perdator 10 in .22-250 for $499.99+tax from Gagnon sports in Oshawa. They said most shops are blowing them out because the new savage models are on their way Retail was $729.99.

I just need to throw a scope on it and sight her in.
