Hey guys, just wondering what everyone is running for a compensator/brake//flash hider on their m305 shorties. I really don't like the chinese birdcage and would like something a bit more functional. Is there a such unit that will act like a muzzle brake but still have flash hiding qualities? What about a linear comp?

How is everyone mounting their muzzle devices? I do like the idea of keeping the castle nut / spline system. But I will change it if need be.

Any input appreciated, thanks guys.

Im running a NEA Gill brake in .308/.300 BK. The thread size is 5/8''x24, so you will either have to get your barrel re-threaded or you can slap a SEI M14 ADAPTOR that is threaded for 5/8''x24 and threads onto the existing castle nut.

The SEI M14 ADAPTOR runs for about 100$ at ArmTac and the NEA Gill brake in .308/.300 BK. runs for 60$ at SFRC. Its a killer set up though, and makes you M1A perform much better than your standard "birdcage" lol
