I have a Tikka T3 SS and would like to restock it. I have heard of the following "Big" 3 brands, but would like to know which one would be the best value interms of cost vs quality. Am I over looking another brand? The stock I am looking for would be a hunting style stock with a roll over cheek piece.

1.) HS - Precision
2.) McMillan
3.) Robertson Composites
4.) Rim Rock

Thanks,
O.

Robertson is Canadian. I would think Ian's lead time would be shorter then the others, but you will have to contact Ian directly to confirm.

I believe Robertson is inletting for the T3, but I don't think the others are yet. If that's the case, your choice is easy.;)

edit : After searching HS precision and Mcmillan websites I could find no stocks inletted for a Tikka T3, so Robertson it is !!

I have the top two you have choosen and have looked at Robertson's light hunter, it is by far the best in workmanship, expecialy finish, he makes by far the best quality stocks.

I was leaning towards a Robertson, but I found they only have one style of hunter stock on their website. I'm not sure if they have added models or not. I like their prices if they are same as the website.

If anyone could post a pic of their Robertson that would be great.

Thanks for your input.

I would support the local guy first and foremost. Ian's stocks are world class, and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, check out MPI fibreglass stocks. They ship to Canada, and I was very impressed with their service.

Here are 2 rifles that I did with Robertson composite stocks.

Top is a Tikka 55 in .243 with a Gaillard 1in 8.5" twist.

2nd is a left hand Montana 1999 in .300 Win Mag in the general purpose hunter.
