which CZ is the CZ for me? (post #61 for final pic!)

finally got everything in and put together.
DIP rail arrived today and the locktite is curing as we speak.
scope has been bore sighted in my shop (and yard - neighbors thought i was strange belly crawling out there in an attempt to not be seen)
i will be taking it out to the range tomorrow for its break in.

so thats a CZ 452 Varmint with a Cabela's Pine Ridge 6-18x50mm scope on high rings (bolt clears the scope, i was worried!) on a DIP rail.
im looking forward to range time tomorrow with it!

got out to the range on the weekend.
beautiful gun to shoot!

i ordered up a bunch of higher end ammo to see what this gun can do with the right diet of lead in it.

Congratulations. That looks nice. You might try adjusting the torque on the action screw and the barrel lug screw to see how that affects groups. Many shooters report that this can help to improve results.

Don't mind him. There are some in here who think you need to spend at least twice the gun price on a scope to get good range results. There is nothing wrong with your scope. Great looking rig.

Ive heard/seen how many make the back bin to the landfill. Wouldn't be my scope of choice is all.

And there are some who are quick to stereotype ppl........

huh.
ive run a couple of the Cabela's scopes and i really like them on my 22's.
i have yet to hear anyone say anything bad about them either.
for the price i think they are the best 22 scope on the market.

Great looking gun, congrats! My current favorite is a 452 Varmint in 22, wearing a Sightron S1. My gun loves CCI Blazer, and they're cheap too! Try them out!

Im left handed and was able to get a CZ452 leftie. It is a delightful little gun. Fit and finish make US made guns look shabby. And it is accurate to a fault. I have the matching CZ527 in 223 with the newer MiniMauser mechanism. Have no plans to ever sell either of them. They are a delight to shoot. Consider that I am now in my late 60s and have owned a lot of 22s over the years. My main shooters are the CZ452, Marlin 39a and a Martini Cadet. I love to shoot all of them. Wabbits cease to be when any of them are around. I own 4 CZs and love them all. They just shoot and handle so well. They even make a pistol that has left and right controls. I like manufacturers that think and design properly. Tough to beat. Then again even Norinco makes a passable 22 these days. Buy something and shoot it. If you dont like it sell it to someone and go buy another. Its what we all do anyways.... :)
