Which CZ455?

Yup, in fact I'll be there on Saturday.

Ahhh too bad I have other priorities this weekend. If the weather forecast for calm winds holds true I may get out Monday afternoon/evening. Keep in touch, maybe I'll see ya around there sometime. In a couple months I should have some custom builds up and running if ya'd like to spoil yerself ;)

Haha, sounds like you're going to be a bad influence on me. Like I need one. Hopefully we run into each other there sometime. I'd definitely like to check out your customs.

Well, I ended up walking out with the 455 American. I think the Lux stock would have been fine with a scope, but it's hard to tell for sure until you actually mount one on it. I checked out the Varmint and the Super Match as well, and the Varmint was just too muzzle heavy. I already have a Savage BTVSS with a bull barrel that is a dedicated bench gun. I can't imagine I would enjoy shooting the Varmint off hand. The Super Match was nice, but had a much plainer stock and wasn't on sale. The American had the nicest stock by far, AND was on sale. Now I gotta figure out what I'm going to do for a scope.

Nice choice, I'm thinking of picking one up as well, either the 455 Lux or my sons favorite the Evolution. I wll have to get used to the look of that one.

Yup, in fact I'll be there on Saturday. Unfortunately won't be bringing the CZ since I don't have a scope for it yet. I could borrow the scope off my Mark II but I don't feel like messing around trading scopes back and forth.

Probably won't get a .17 barrel for the CZ. I'll just buy another gun. :)

Check out the Meueller scopes or the T-36 Weaver

Congrats on the new purchase!! I just bought a Lux in 22LR this week, very nice looking rifle great 'feel' to it as well. Was on sale for $599, and am very happy with the purchase. I'm watching the replies here as I am wanting to get myself a scope set up as well. Haven't shot yet (first purchase after receiving PAL/RPAL). Hope to get myself out to a range sooner rather than later.

That's a really good price.

Doesn't it suck waiting to shoot a new gun?

Uhhh.... YEAH! I planned out one of my custom builds last October, got the stock and donor action in November, pillared it and prepped for bedding. Added Fly trigger in January, still probably about a 4 month wait for a barrel :( One of my barrels should be shipping out next week, it'll take 2-3 months to come in from the States (waiting on permits, can't have them approved in advance)

FWIW, I have six 455's. Three American, three Canadian, one each in .22, .22mag, .17hmr. Love them all. The .17's are laser accurate. So are the other ones. I am not what I would call a "good shot", so if the guns make me happy, and I paid for them, we're all happy! :)

I also have FS 452.

So I have a question about mounting a scope to my CZ. The Burris Zee rings are what I used on my Savage MkII. The Savage came with Weaver style bases, so the rings went right on no problem. The CZ is dovetailed, so how do I make the Zee rings fit?

You have to buy an adaptor. Or buy CZ or other 11 mm rings. Unless you have a 452 or 453 american. Those are 3/8"
