Since no one's mentioned Browning yet I'll throw it out there. Check out the A-Bolt M100 Eclipse or maybe some X-bolts. My Varmint Stalker is a surgical tack driver. Then again, there's always the Nemisis...

Browning is good no argument there... But when you think browning a high quality hunting rifle comes to mind more than a long range target gun.

When you start tweaking for performance it's nice to have a rifle with a part selection like a small block Chevy.

Which long range rifle out there has the most aftermarket accessories for customization, for stock, barrel, etc?

Get a PGW Coyote, it's not in the price range you listed. But its a beautiful rifle.

Tikka T3 Sporter would be my choice for a factory rifle. Stock looks a little funky but ohhhhhhh so comfy! I have owned a few Tikkas and they were all great shooters and they were just hunting rifles.
