Interesting. Very interesting. Any info on loads you've used?

Johnn, they are bad, there is one here at our Gander Mountain, let me tell you that is a heavy piece of iron. I think for RAW power this would fit the bill, but carrability would definitely be an issue. :( Les

I've never and do not Own one......hence no load data:p
Seen one at the Range one day, impressive Flame came outta that thing...I declined the offer to shoot it:redface:
Actually they are abit under 5 lbs...might want it on a sling instead of a holster for carrying...or even a Scabbard ;)

Ya, for the time being, I'll stick with the 'poison' I have. It's more than enough to keep my attention. I wouldn't mind trying a few shots out of it though.;)

I'd use my P226 for rabit, if they explode I'd move to a buckmark. For deer I'd use a 44 magnum, moose and bear I would move up to 500S&W magnum but again wouldnt feel bad with my 44 magnum aslong as its close brush.

I have a stainless Ruger Vaquero 7 1/2" barrel in 44-40.......................................................yes, I have a HANDGUN. Just one, but I have one..........I'd love to hunt a moose with it.

It would be sure be handy to legally carry my Ruger MkI .22 for potting chickens & rabbits while travelling to and from my moose hunting spots on the quad. If handgun hunting was approved in Canada, I'd buy a single action revolver in .454 Casull. Hell, I just might anyway now that I think about it ;) :D

My Choice

Fires .460 S&W Magnum, .454 Casull and .45 Colt

From there web site: "Plus, its "gain-twist" rifled barrel means superb long-range accuracy (beyond 200 yards) with every shot."

My rifles don't do that after 200 it's pretty much a hail Mary for my stuff

I'm not sure we would ever be aloud to have that much fun here in Canada.

Any one of my Ruger Blackhawk 44's or 45's have worked fine on deer and pig. I have yet to blood my 475 Linebaugh.

I like the pic, looks good! :) Suitable for the game you've mentioned, I have a 4" S&W 29, Ruger Vaquero .45LC, Ruger Blackhawk (Flat top) .44 Mag & a .500 S&W. I can only envy you. Up 'here' I doubt I'll live long enough to see handguns legalized for hunting.:(
