Which handgun for the wife?

Ruger sr9 is a nice small frame but it does have some weight to it and it can be hard to work the slide.
The m&p9 is nice and light and the slide does loosen up over time.
The sig 1911 is nice but it is a full sized frame.
I have all 3 and I would honestly say go for the ruger 22/45 lite. It über lite and shoots nice, plus its cheap to buy and cheap to run.

My wife prefer my old glock, just for weight I think, but she can barely work the slide.

Now, strange enough she really likes my ruger gp100. I think that I'd because its not too complicated and no slide, plus hogue grips really make a difference in comfort.

I put some hogue grips on my ruger 22/45 lite and my wife prefers it now.

Wife wasn't busy so I took her to the gun safes and took some out.

The results surprised me.
She actually preferred the S&W m&p 22 !!!
Followed by the ruger 22/45 with hogue grips.
And the sig 1911-22 she didn't like at all.
To heavy and too big.

So maybe try her on either the m&p 22 or ruger 22/45 lite?

Weight and ease of working the action followed by a comfy grip seems to be what wife is looking for.

Thanks to everyone for the help.
So she got the green Sig 1911 22. My wife didnt really like the look of the Ruger 22/45. When we were originally looking we were checking out the black Sig 1911 22 and the guy pulled out the green one and it was instantly the favorite for looks out of everything we looked at for her. Going to take it out for the maiden voyage tommorow. I told her if she didnt like it after shooting it we could get something different. I didnt mention that unless I hated or something that it would be getting kept and we would just get another pistol for her to try. lol. Now in retrospect maybe I should have tried her with the Sig P220 stainless and then went, oh well its too much pistol lets try something smaller. bam sig 220 for me.
I took a pic of the wife and my 2 year old daughter each with a pistol case outside of Cabellas yesterday all proud and sh#t. I will post one of those as well as some pistol pics after i get it all taken apart and cleaned up tonight.
Thanks all.
J
