I recently purchased a 6" 686 off the EE. I am very excited to receive my first wheel gun. Now I need to find a suitable holster for it. Leather would be a nice touch, but I am open to anything other then a cross-draw.

What do you guys suggest?

Don't go cheap otherwise you'll likely end up disappointed (like I have). I've been looking around lately as well for some nice stuff. Here is what I have come across to get an idea for what I like, however I am still undecided. For me, these type of holsters are more or less a novelty item but make a revolver look so classy. I would order Diamond D out of Alaska, but they are just focussing on chest rigs at the moment.

Blade-Tech makes holsters for them as well if you take the Kydex route. I received a Bianchi with my used 617 and prefer it over the Bladetech I have. The Bianchi is slimmer, fits like a glove and the leather just looks more appealing.

Try International Shooting Supplies in Surrey, BC or Reliable Gun. HiCal in Mission may bring them in for you too. I haven't bought a leather holster in a coon's age so I won't know where to source one now. I agree leather for a wheelgun is much more attractive than any Kydex type holster!!
Try your LGS in Edm . and see if they will/ can bring one in for you. Good luck!
