Which Hornady PTX for 9mm?

For the 10-12 bucks get both of them. The shipping will be more than that.
I am just finishing up a stockpile of 38's and my next mission is 9 mm so I can't comment of which one works better yet. If I had my choice I would use a die expander but I don't have one for 9 mm and I do have the PTX.
I hope you can find one, when I bought mine I had a hey of a time locating them. P&D in Edmonton had some last time I was there.

Based on Hornady's brochure, .355 PTX is the one for 9mm. However, lots of ppl had a terrible time with both .355 & .357.
I do have expander dies but I want to use RCBS Lock-out & dedicated Lee factory crimp dies, hence the need for PTX. I'm procrastinating - don't want to give up the LockOut die but don't feel good about PTX either.
I also need a shellplate & dies for .40S&W so I'm having my friend in the US order the stuff for me from Midway, they have everything I need in stock.
I have sent 2 back to Hornady which would not put a bell on the case mouth. They say they are fine and are sending me another, I will see if this one works. I have the old style on my press (old style is shorter) which puts a nice bell on the mouth of the case, but because it is shorter where it comes out of the powder measure, I can never get a full stroke out of the powder measure. If the new one does not work I think I will purchase the after market one mentioned here on this forum.
I been on the web looking for info on the Hornady PTX expanders... I am looking to get a LnL AP and dies etc for both 9mm and .45 ACP.... and like Aridan I want to use the RCBS lockout die AND a seperate bullet seat die and taper crimp die.
Well this kinda makes it necessary to do the belling and powder drop in the one station.... hence the PTX
I have been around the net and seen nothing but complaints about Hornady's PTX Powder Drop Expander - it just don't flare enough - ESPECIALLY for lead bullets...shaveing lead etc... (raise your hand if your casting your own!!! LOL)
Well I went to Hornady's web sie... apparently they make TWO (2) different PTX expanders for each caliber.... one for Jacketed bullets and one for Lead bullets...
So for me I would need.... (cause I want to do both jacked bullets and ones I cast myself)

Anyone have any experience with the PTX expanders, using them as intended... do they perform better when using LEAD when your actually using the PTX designed for lead? I suspect a lot of people have been unsatisfied with the PTX expanders because nobody seems to know of the PTX units for lead.... I found very very little info about them....
Any info would be great...Thanks in advance?
Which one do you guys use for 9mm - the .355 or the .357? TIA.
LOL, the more I read about the 9mm PTX the more complaints I see... Is ANYONE using the 9mm PTX?
.355. They work fine, but aren't designed to bell. If you want to bell as well as expand, get the ones for lead.
