Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

My first year hunting I made the mistake of only bringing one rifle to camp, sure enough my little bro shows up to hunt with no rifle so I lend him mine. I borrow a old unknown 8mm mauser from my step-dad. It's got no marking that I can tell so I have no idea of the make/model. It's huge, heavy, has a interal mag thats hard as hell to load, bolt was horrible, and the ####ing thing wouldn't extract a round worth ####. I tried cleaning it one night with no improvement. Safe to say I bring up a few rifles to camp now.

Besides that every remington rifle i've shouldered doesn't feel right. I own a 870 and it's abit better. Not perfect, but usable.
 
You guys are trash talking the T3's! Take a look at all the new Rem 700's, talk about garbage. My T3 hunter is twice the rifle those poorly finished hunks of junk are!
 
I have an unreasoned pathological hatred of Savage. Never understood why either. Beginning to acquire a hatred for Ruger, due to an aquaintance who cannot shut up with his reasons why they are the best.
 
I have two savages I love them. They are hunting rifles that iam not to worried about scratching and shoot great, maybe not as good as a 1000 dollar rifle but i didnt buy it to act like a higher class rifle. For me its 45-70 i like them there fun to shoot but i dunno something about them.

Lee Enfields I like on some levels, but I'd never hunt with one unless I had to.

I am sure I will think of some more, and probably argue about it.:D

What planet are you calling in from? Some of their POS rimfires are made by the old Lakefield plant, but the name and the rifles are all American.
If you haven't guessed, I can't stand Savages. Or the Abolt (A is for abortion), or anything Mossberg, or that tumor they call the Benelli R1. And I really realy really really really really hate, and I mean would love to burn 'em all, those awfull flotsam POS Remington 710/770's.

I can tell you why... They are ugly, crappy with chitt balance
After Savage, Reminton 700 anything is over rated.
I dont mind Tikka T3's but CZ/brno is so far ahead of the rest

you shoulda seen the Rem 700 SPS 270 Win I shot last weekend. 2.5" group @ 460 yards, two shots at 600y within 3" of each other. I agree the finish isnt the nicest, but they do shoot well :) as do Tikkas, I just cant like the plastic parts on a gun.
 
Number one on my list is the A-Bolt; I was actually wearing out the one that I had by using it. I would have to say that my number two is any Ruger. They are built with a list of features with only a secondary thought to function in my oppinion, and I don't think that they are made out of all that good of metal for the price that they are asking.
