Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

take a tikka t3, attach a leupold scope
take a lee enfield, attach any scope u want

ill guarentee you with the tikka u wont need more then 7 shells to sight in. dead accurate. lee enfields feel like u need a set of vice grips to open the bolt.
get with the times.

I also hate any rifle that looks like this

I don't really hate anything as long as it isn't chambered for a WSM;) but I don't think much of the Golden Eagle (AKA Guilded Turkey), the Colt Sauer, or the Browning A-Bolt. I always thought the various Kimbers were, and are, overpriced.
The H&R single shots should be selling for about 149.95 as this would better reflect the value.
Many of the Tikka offerings have all the grace and style of a dancing aardvark.
Issues about the dangers associated with the use of a Model 94 (or any of the lever action Winchesters or Marlins before they stuck them with that abomination of a crossbolt safety) are unfounded in my opinion. Although there is a certain amount of skill required to let the hammer down, the skill level required is roughly equal to that of being able to put a spoon in your mouth without injury. The thing that always amazed me about all of the JM Browning lever action designs was that they were so complex yet so reliable. I've seen Model 94's function well when, to look at them, you'd think they wouldn't work at all.
My "go-to" rifle is a Lee Enfield. It's killed more than all my other rifles combined, is deadly accurate and always works. I've been shooting it over 45 years. I don't think a Tikka T-3 would do the job any better and would totally lack the soul of this old Canadian classic. Regards, Bill

Leepers "go-to" rifle is a Lee Enfield....Well said, I bet some of the wsm and 375 Ruger boobs will be telling you how outdated you are because of the statement you mad about the Classic Enfield.

Browning A- bolts suck,710's too, any sks , that's not really a hunting rifle anyways.

.

The SMLE isn't really a hunting rifle, either. They are both military rifles.:D

The 375 Ruger because it's a rip off of the only King ,the 375 H&H.

The .375 Ruger and the .375 H&H aren't' rifles, they are cartridges. I realize that not everyone on the intraweb has the knowledge to make that distinction, but it is an important one.
:D:D

Hate is a pretty strong word. I have a hard time saying I "hate" any firearm or chambering, for that matter. But, I sure do dislike some rifles strongly enough to avoid them. If you like them, so be it, but I will stay away from these: Browning A-bolts, T3's, any rifle built by Savage, Kimbers, Sauers, Steyr-Mannlichers, Blasers, Ruger 10-22s, Any semi-automatic centerfire, Remington 710s, any NEF rifles, and definitely any centerfire with a barrel shorter than 18" Regards, Eagleye.

The 375 Ruger CARTRIDGE is a direct RIPOFF of the timeless classic 375 Holland & Holland cartridge..........better.?
Everyone but you knew what I meant.

1. By your thinking, any 30 caliber is a direct RIPOFF of the first .30 caliber cartridge, regardless of the case configuration. It's an interesting thought process, but I don't know anyone else that cares about it. I guess everyone has their irrational idiosyncrasies.:D

2. This thread is about RIFLES you hate, not CARTRIDGES you hate. Which was my original point. I think everyone understood that, except for perhaps you, which isn't really surprising, actually.:D:D

Just the sks ,thanks.

I think we've come down to it that any bolt action rifle with a wood stock made by Winchester, Uberti and possibly Husqavarna and Nosler are the rifles you can carry into camp without fear. And of course any of the fine European double rifles like a .577 T-Rex? And that's only as long as it's not made by the french right?

What the hell is that last post saying?
Anyway, I always considered Savages a bit of a "Frankenstein".Yeah they work but aesthetically Horrid. Tikka T3's =Way too much plastic. Stevens =Welfare Savage, and I'm going to get blasted for this one, but unless heavily
"worked" Brno/CZ are the rifle equivalent of the "Pontiac #####" ...Shudder..

I hate any kind of lever action period. I also hate pump action rifles, but not as much as lever actions grrr!

As a hunting rifle - I hate anything without a scope... maybe if I didn't live on the prairies. I also hate the SKS as a hunting rifle, but love it as a POS beat me around and don't care if you scratch, rust, etc.

Anyone who has a T3 that they hate, please feel free to let me take it off your hands! For the record, every last one of my firearms has a synthetic stock
