Which is a better rifle?

Have one of each in 308win.

The Ruger is used and a bit tricked out.

The S2 is new on one of them, "couldn't resist" deals.

Seen one of them flamed S2 in Nanaimo and they wanted $569 for it... had more than 4 on the racks too.

Give your head a shake. If his s2 shoots anything like mine it will certainly shoot better than 1.5 moa. I agree there's nothing overly "special" about the two rifles, but those s2's will shoot. As said above 'looky keep whatever fits and shoots best for you.

Lol the vangaurd s2 has a sub Moa guarantee . I have personally shot .75 inch groups with 308 ordinary hunting rounds . Not a good rifle ? I'd say it's better then good , 600 bucks with an awesome trigger , nice action and great accuracy what more can you ask for ?

Personally I'd go with the Ruger but the S2 is decent as well.

I like my ruger M77 in .308. Shoots great for me. Before I'd consider getting rid of it, I'd put a Schillen, Kreiger or Criterion barrel on it and have a 500+ yard gun.
