which is best canadian barrel maker

I am planning to mount a longrange rifle on a 700 action in 300wm and I wouldlike to go with a barrel canadian made
I read nice stuff about Besset and Smith, but I dont know any other
all I need is a profiled blank

If you really are looking for 'witch' barrels, I'm not sure which offers the best spells.

I have shot and competed with Ted Gaillard's barrels. They served me very well.

Obviously, I now use other brands but if you want a Canadian top tier barrel, Ted's will put a smile on your face

I am hoping to be able to announce another Can manf in time but early days right now...

+1 for Gaillard. I have a Gaillard on one of my P dog rifles and after 100-150 rounds no copper fouling and very accurate.

I have had great barrels from Smith,McLennon and Gaillard, but if I had to pick one, it would be Gaillard.

You will have to call. This is simply his price list. Guntech just finished building my rem 700 using a Gaillard barrel. I need to find the time to shoot it.

I can't say who is the best but I have used Ted's and Ron's and don't have a bad thing to say about either. I have used more gain twists though

Absolutely nothing wrong with McGowen.

Shooters are blessed to have so many top notch barrel makers in North America today.
