Which is better? Stevens 200 or t3?

Stevens or Tikka?...Tikka or Stevens?...

I have one of each here :)so I dug them out and did a comparison...even took some pics...;)

I can't see the difference?:D...can you see the difference?:p

I have two Tikkas and have owned the Stevens 200. I will never again get a Stevens, they are great for the money but I trluy feel the Tikka is better than any base model Browning, Remington, Winchester out there.
I have the T3 lite as I WANTED a synthetic stock. I have put some effort into accurizing my Browning, Winchester and Stevens (floating the bbl etc) but have yet to even dissassemble the Tikka. Both of my Tikkas (22-250 and 7mm-08) will shoot half MOA right out of the box. None of my others even came close. They were all acceptable but not a Tikka. The action is smooth and the rifle fits nicely.
You can get a walnut stock on a Tikka for only a few bucks more.

Didn't you sell a pre 64 Winchester in 300 H&H a while back?

Shoulda stuck with that one instead!

My "cheap" 30-06 is a sporterized Springfield 1903 already tapped for a scope. I got it for $100. :D

No, that was one of my dad's rifles. Besides, when you watch your green recruit fall off the snowmobile onto your rifle (in this particular case, my Ruger M77 RSM) you decide right quick that you need a beater! And the Pre64 would not qualify!

If you compare the two, you can only come to the conlcusion that the Stevens is reeally good value, while the Tikka most certainly IS NOT. When I pick up an $800 gun, I expect a lot more than what you get in a Tikka. Compare a Tikka t3 stainless to something like a Savage 12FVLSS. They are both around the same price...but which is the better gun...obvious answer.
