I voted 7mm Mauser, cuz it was an army gun and my grampa was an army man and he was in the army when these guns were in the army and now he uses it to shoot deert in his army clothes but he uses it in a remungtun poomp and it is really good cuz he can carry more shells

and I would get the same rifle with a spare barrel that shoots 8 mm Mauser and 8 X 57.....thus have 5 guns in 1.....

You could also shoot 7.92 Mauser and the 7.92 X 57 IS and the 7.92 X 57 JS and the 8 X 57 IS and the 8 X 57 JS....you could really match the gun to the game!

So sorry Kilo Charlie, I completely over looked 7.92 Mauser, thanks for catching that.

So in the end we can have 10 calibers with just 2 barrels, that is one hell of an arsenal.

I prefer the 7mm Express because it is faster than 280 Rem.
And my stereo goes to 11 not 10.

Don't forget the 7-06!!
Now, many here know that the wilcat is not quite the same as the other two but Rem actually marked some ammo that way. I have three boxes headstamped 7-06!!

A no brainer. I had my gunsmith re-chamber my 7x57 to 7mm mauser so i could shoot Remcheter ammo in it.
