Which is your Single Favorite Milsurp in your Collection and Why?

My 1947 FN Model 1930 Mauser made for the Venezuelan army. It is sometimes called a Venezuelan "Short Rifle". I bought it from Marstar for $700 almost 2 years ago and I wouldn't sell it for double that. It came unfired, unissued, non-refurbished -- in other words: "unf@@ked with". The bore is brand new condition. I fired 20 rounds through it to "shake-off the cobwebs" and to blow out some cosmoline residue. Its an extremely well made and sturdy rifle. You couldn't slide a 5 note between the action and stock. Not a single screw has seen a screwdriver since it was made at the Liege Belgium factory. The action is butter smooth, the walnut furniture is beautiful (very few handling marks), and the bluing is deep and almost perfect. It doesn't get any better than that. BTW, it shoots like a dream with the factory adjusted sights and is chambered for the uber cool 7x57.

My 1941 Long Branch No.4 Mk.1. It was in a sorry state when I got it, and I have nursed it back to health. It is now beautiful and a bloody good rifle :)

Its odd because I thought adding milsurps like a minty 1950 LB and a WRA M1 would change it, but my favorite is still my first rifle. A 44' Savage No.4 Mk.1* Its got that been there done that look and still is a great shooter.

My hand me down ERA Pattern 14 .303 British. It was my first rifle, bagged my fist deer with it, all others are considered in comparison to it. I have trouble finding something else i feel good about carrying in the field.

Mine to, ERA P14 .303 . Also my first rifle and bagged my first ,second ,third and so on deer for over 20 plus years of hunting

Or the MAS 36/51? No, no, no my Mk.V!! Ya the Mk.V. But now I can't find a pic of the Mk.V on my computer. Back to square one......

My P17 I bought at an acution in Vancouver. C broad arrow marked with just a little bit of red paint left around the foregrip. Unmolested and nice. Cheap, too!

That'll be my '43 Longbranch which I inherited from dear 'ol grandad...41yr ago.
Many of deer have been taken over the years and at the range it's always a hit.
This rifle is my fav out of any firearm I own
Thx grandpa !

I've picked up different stocks and parts for it so it can be changed to whatever I like and not harm the original .

Sadly, my M95M which is up for sale on the EE... other than that, my Mosin Nagant M38 in all original trim,1943. Got it for a trade for an old M91 Three Line.

Toss-up 'twixt my LB 1944 No 4 Mk 1* and my SMLE with all five numbers matching.

Next in line, sadly not able to fire anymore, is my Mk 11 Inglis Bren, mounted on a tripod, in a sandbagged diorama, complete with numerous accessories.
