Which mags fits my Pre-B CZ 75 ?

Hi guys,

I would like to buy more mags for my Pre-B CZ 75.

My Shadow 2 mags don't work, won't even go in...

So which brands and models of mags fits well and are reliable in a Pre-B ?

I have one of these pistols and the cz brand mags with the plastic spacer on the bottom work. They don't always fall free.

I picked up a couple from trade ex , for my preB , they fit the magwell well, but the slide would not move with them in , took some very fine sand paper to the feed lips until the slide would travel across the mag freely, only took a little , work fine now .

Does the pistol still have the retention spring in it - they did put a flat spring length wise in the mag well to stop mags from being accidentally ejected.

AFAIK the pre-B is slightly narrower at the top of the mag well. I had to special order some in (I THINK through Marstar) years ago. Apparently you can also file the inside of the mag well, but I wasn't interested in that!

I have a Pre B with the original mag brake in it. The old style Canadianized mags with the short tube and big plastic basepads work. I have some specific Pre B mags on order from Marstar. If you look on their website they show as out of stock, but that was because they said people were buying the surplus 75s and 85s and having issues with the mags. They do actually have them in stock but you’ll have to contact them.
