A while back I had to send in a S&W 686 for warranty repair. I was surprised to find out that there were only two authorized S&W repair centres in Canada.
It took pretty close to a year to get my pistol back which I found out was fairly normal if your didn't have some kind of local relationship with the warranty shop.
This experience is really making it hard to ever purchase another S&W product even though I own several and have been quite pleased with my S&W's until the warranty issue.
I posted a question on CGN asking if this was a normal wait time and to my surprise some had been waiting much longer than a year and I even had some snarky comments asking if I wanted good service or quick service. Seriously, over a year just to get "good service".
So my question is what kind of wait times have you experienced when sending in your firearm for warranty repair to other manufactures?
I am looking for responses where the repair centre is not local to you, you don't have a relationship with the people repairing the firearm (usually due to geographic reasons), you can't go get Joe a Timmies while he fixes your firearm, you have to send it in and wait.
Thanks
