Which MBR without prohib

Wow, fairly high price tags these days.

Any idea what they sold for when they were first imported into Canada? What makes them worth so much these days?

650$ I believe is what I had seen a flyer for, and the second answer= Availability of a Non restricted AK Variant

This is straight from an email discussion i had with an FRT classification tech .

1. The rifle known as the FN FAL was "restricted" by the Government of Canada in the 1970's, then its status changed temporarily to "non restricted" in 1977 and later became "restricted" again circa 1979. The FN FAL remained "restricted" until 1992 when it (and the US Rifle M 14) became "prohibited".

2. The FN FAL was a target for special treatment and ever more restrictive legal classification by successive Governments of Canada, Orders by the Governor-In-Council (Cabinet) and were passed in a democratic fashion by majority vote in the House of Commons (Parliament).

Now this portion is what i think is important but i havnt found a means of using this statement.

No member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police has the discretionary power to influence the firearms laws formulated and passed into existence by the Government of Canada, nor does any Public Servant employed by the Canadian Firearms Program

This totaly makes me cp:
Not only did this rifle serve our country for how many year's? Some @$$hat's dictate to us that it is for the better good of all of Canada.
Just another reason why I would rather be Swis than Canadian when it come's to our laws.

Trust me i think you would become physically ill if i posted the rest of what was said to me in this email , in theory if given to the right person i honestly believe it could be used to our advantage , i just dont know who to send it to .

You mean 12.5... 12.6 is short barreled, .25 and .32 cal. pistols.

Also your last sentence should read "There are not many", and capitalize the first word in your sentence and the personal pronoun "I"... Ok, so maybe I'm just giving you a hard time now. :p

the propper label is a Grammar Nazi FYI:rolleyes:

I wish they would make a SIG 542 clone. Even if I could get a G3, I would take the SIG over that one.

BTW The SIG 542 is the 7.62 NATO version of the SIG 540.
