which mount for posp scopes on vz58?

if i were to get a posp for my vz58 which side mount would i need to get for it? i see some on westrifle that say they require drilling. are there any that are already predrilled and good to go for these types of optics?

would something like this be what i need ?

The one you linked at wolverine supplys like already mentioned is designed to bolt to a CSA VZ58 without any modding. It will support any POSPs that have a universal mount, or SVD mount. But i doubt it will support AK mount POSPs so be careful regarding those scopes.

POSPs mounted on that rail wolverine sells may sit far enough back on the gun that u will find the eye relief uncomfortable. So to get around this Westrifle sells a 858 side rail that allows the optic to sit considerably farther forward on the gun offering perfect eye relief. But it does require you to drill a hole in the rear portion of the receiver to mount the rail.

U may also want to invest in one of these to protect the POSP from ejected cases. It requires some minor modding to fit the POSPs.

thanks. trying not to do any permanent modifications to the rifle itself. i figured by now there would be a mount for these scopes that had these issues ironed out. the vz already comes tapped on the receiver

Well for a while Specter Ballistics was selling a mount similar to the Westrifle one that didnt involve modifications. But sadly it is no longer posted on his website. My guess was the market wasnt big enough cus not many people utilize POSP style optics these days.

I think this is the right one that is ment for the vz pushes the scope farther forward. not sure where I got them from. I did one for a friend, so got two mounts so if this is the right one for your pattern , I would let it go
