Hey Guys;

I currently have a Elite 6500 1.25-8x32 scope (30mm tube) in an ARMS 35QD base with 35M (medium) rings on my Kel-Tec RFB... And, I showed my wife how it could be swapped over to her AR15...

And... Well... Now she wants a scope on her AR15...

Is there another ARMS base & rings I should be considering or is the 35QD & rings the way to go? What about other manufacturers???

Cheers
Jay

Are you stuck on A.R.M.S ? what about Larue or AMD ? they are QD mount-Rings

Spanner

Not stuck on it, just know the ARMS 35QD will work and allow her to use the Elite 6500 scope on her AR15. The 1.25-8x32 has 6 inches of eye relief... So the mount needs to be put as far forward as possible...

Cheers

You could also check out the Leupold IMS system for the Mark 4 line?
I believe this is the mount they are using on the CQBSS scope.(This system is the Mark 8)

Best bang for the buck is the Burris quick release mount.

The quick release handles can be positioned to work forward or backwards. I have them backwards on the RFB to clear the charging handle area. Works on a Tavor and AR15 flat tops as well. Fireball has one on his DND AR10 with a NF 5.5-22x 56mm scope. Works well.

On the RFB:

Slapped onto the Tavor with no changes:

What is wrong with ARMS mount? No trying to defend them. I do run them on both of my ARs but I don't flip mu scopes on and off much. Don't know much about them and interested to know why other mounts may be a better choice. I have noted that they don't seem to be very common/popular. There is probably a reason, right? :)

Zero today, none tomorrow. Tight today, gone tomorrow. They have poor durability. Not to mention #### Swan.

I would get Larue if I wanted QD. If I didnt I would get a quality ring type, I would not get ARMs for a variety of reasons.

Hey guys, I went with the GG&G 1383 QD mounts... Wolverine had them in stock...

Now I need railed gas blocks... Any ideas?

Cheers & Thanks
