Which muzzle brake to choose?

The Triad will be less of a muzzle brake compare to the FSC556, which will be better for people (ie. the RO) standing next to me. It's also nearly half the price of the FSC. I expect it to perform similar to the VC-1 but I can't provide a fair side-by-side comparison since the VC-1 is on my 11.5" barrel vs the Triad which will go on a 16" barrel.

Interesting and thanks.

This is all new too me as most every AR I've ever encountered had standard Mil or Company parts. Nearly all were A2 flash hiders, until I met the Vortex and I like it for flash suppression.

I would guess the first one is designed so you can stick it into something to steady your shots. (like a fence post maybe). If so it's a good idea.

It's modeled after muzzle brakes used in medieval times

I've had both. The troy one sucks at flash hiding, the vortex kills it

The triad gets a big +1 from me.

I put it on my xcr after I got sick of throwing dust into the faces of the people I was shooting with.

More of the noise is thrown downrange rather than back at and around the shooter.

I didn't do a side by side with the stock xcr, but I know I will not be removing the triad anytime soon.

Of all my year's shooting the SEI muzzle brake is the only deviece that can handel a 308 recoil that didn't weigh a ton. And again all my years shooting I have yet to see a flash hidder that was better than the SEI Vortex.

The Vortex is great. Brake is hardly needed on a 223, for me at least, so I went with a Vortex.

Great flash suppression. Works well.

I'll see that youtube video and rasie you by another youtube video;

ANd oh ya buddy that ain't no 223 he is shooting full auto with thats 308 in a tradition M14 stock that anyone who has shot one full auto will tell you after the 3rd shot its an anti-aircraft rifle.
Here is a 223 full auto no semi here and look at him over compensate because he was expecting more recoil & muzzle raise while dumping a 100 rounds.

I think I have one for sale. It came with my Noveske AR15. I took it off as soon as I received my rifle so it's brand new. PM me if interested
