Been thinking about getting an inexpensive 9mm semi..... Norinco makes a bunch of different clones" from Browning High Power, to Sig, to CZ, to tokarev, and Colt .

Which of the bunch is the "best" 9mm THEY make, (and why) ?

The NP -22, NP-34, NP 29 and NZ85 is some of the most trouble free 9mm made by Norinco. personal I do go for the NZ85 and NP-29 if you can find any or wait until December, there should be another shipment from marstar.

Np-29

I say the Norinco NP-29 [1911A1] is the best Norc 9mm. Single stack based on the tried & proven 1911A1 frame.

Why? Try & find one.... They are always "sold out". None are available for sale. They rarely come up on the EE and when they do are sold immediately. This is because those that have them don't want to part with them. That has to say something about why they are the best Norc 9mm

Word of advice..... when the NP-29 shipment gets here, do as fellow CGN member 'Hungry' says, "don't buy just one, buy two"!

alot of people talk smack about norincos but I have not seen one fail yet and that is after witnessing countless rounds through various pistols and the CQ rifles. having said that part of it would come to personal preference on style of pistol that you like.

I just picked up the Sig 226 copy (NP22) and LOVE IT. Works great, accurate enough to hit a Fig. 11 at 25m, snap shooting! So i would highly recommend this model (or the more compact NP34). Have not had a mag problem or any failures yet. and there is a wide variety of Sig 226 accessories that are compatible. Same with the 1911 models.

And the thing i like about norincos is that if you like more than one style then they are cheap enough to justify buying multiple pistols :)

Ya know, if I had to base my opinion on what I hear alot of people saying, some of them gun shop employees, I would think Norinco products are crap. In owning a couple of their products I have nothing neg to say. If you consider them as starting points to maybe be tailored to your style then they are really of a decent quality. My $.02
Cheers!!

I love my Np-34, not a single failure of any kind in over 500 rounds of factory and a mix of junky reloads. If only it came with a rail.:(

My friend loves his 48.

Hopefully my soon to be transferred (F U CFO) Np-22 is just as good.

np29. buy as many as you can. wait until the well has dried. then sell for over marstar retail. you'd make a killing.

I can't stand tards that scoop all the 29s.

Man, that hurts. I do not have a 29 nor have plans to buy one. Still it hurts.

My vote for the best NorkieNiner would be the NP22. Because I believe that the Sig it is cloned from is the best 9mm pistol ever. Whatever "best" means, anyway.

FWIW, I have the NorkieForty clone NP58 (copy of Sig 226 .40 S&W cal), and just love it.

I have one of each of them. I rank the 1911 slightly ahead of the CZ or Sig clones. But they all work well. The 1911 needed trigger work to be perfect. The SIG and CZ clones had quite good SA triggers out of the box.

I would say "Buy the one the feels best in your hand." They all need better grips.

I'm glad someone had something positive to say about the NZ75 as I just bought one. It's my first Norinco too so I'm looking forward to finding out what all the excitement (and bashing) is about.

Will a standard CZ grip fit?

9mm PLUS 1mm

Again mines not the 9mm but all but the same... I have the NP 58 and think its a great pistol, especially for the price. Sure the Sig will have better fit and finish but for 4 times the price? I got this just to try out the P226 platform and sent 750 of every kind of round...cheep reloads, cheap factory, $$$ factory, its NEVER skipped a beat. I like it and will keep it for the $370 I paid for it...but now it's time for the .45 1911, and yes Norinco. Oh ya....the grips it comes with....is that a joke from Norinco? I've felt better grips on a cap gun from the dollar store!!! They are horrible!!!!
