Like the title states, if you were to buy any of the NR rifles right now which one would you get?

I'm in the market and not sure what i want to get/whats out there

thanks!

Budget is a good starting point...

Well I'd like an AR (budget of $2500 plus optics) (i was looking at the SIG 516)

and for the NR i have a budget of $3000 ish plus optics :)

Sold a LR cannon and have some money to spend :D, I decided against another LR just because the fact i wont have much time to use it for the next couple of years

Also Hypothetically if I wanted to do some target shooting, which has the best trigger?

NR: Kriss Vector.

Looks cool, feels good, 10 rnd mag, full of awesomness................

Had one... Sold it because i felt so restricted by the range... but it was really fun and reliable to shoot so... I guess i wouldnt mind another :). If they made it in 9mm or .223 i would be a happy camper haha

XCR, can hunt deer with it, 10 rounds of awesomness.......solid built with a nice trigger in your price range. I shoot mine lots.

You really only have 3 options: Benelli MR1, RobArms XCR-L and the IWI Tavor. My personal preference is the Tavor, because in addition to being uber cool and fairly accurate - it makes your #### bigger. ;)

My Buddy has the MR1... its nice but I think its once ugly mofo

I've heard good and bad things about the XCR. How's the build quality? Are they easy to clean? Would you get an M (308) or L (225)?

And the Tavor, I've handled one once and had mixed feelings. How does it shoot is it crisp? i've hear the triggers are meh but are they easy to replace/ build? Haha know anyone who has stock on em?

You dont like the RFB? to be honest i've always been hesitant of kel tec because they seem cheap feeling...

I own a
kriss(nr)
Tavor(nr)
Xcr(nr)
Cz858(nr)
M305(nr)
Acr(r)
Usc(r)
M4(r)
Out of all of these I think the m305 is the only one you can hunt with(.243) and larger I believe. The xcr is a dream to strip(20 sec tops) tigger feels awesome, and rapid fire supreme lol, combined with lar mags it's super fun. The tavor is a solid reliable short nifty gun, but like you said you were unsure about the trigger, it has this uncomfortably long pull and it just never feels right. Personally I use the tavor all the time, love it, feels lighter, get mad looks from other people lol its a hooot, not one failure after at least 5000rnds. But if your target shooting I've always had better groups with the xcr, the trigger just feels right. I would have said the m305/m14 because it the best really lol but the .308bullets are just so damn expensive! So ya, its all really personally preference .... tavor is very good, but I would take the xcr-l hands down...

Yeah the trigger thing is a bummer, know any dealers with a Tavor? I think if i got an XCR i'd get it in 308 so i could hunt with it. How do you like the ACR and USC?

swiss is hard to beat. others edge it out in accuracy. mr1 is a great rifle as is the hk sl8

Had an SL8... sold it, it was sooo heavy and long... NEver handled or shot a swiss though know any dealers with a NR one?

I would say my Swiss because it was so dawm expensive and it shoot great but havent i known of the Swiss, the MR-1 is just perfect, now 223 is illegal for hunting big game in Quebec so i guess my XCR-M will be the one to use this fall... JP.

whats it like to shoot and clean?

Personally I find cleaning a breeze, it's a piston gun, a good cleaning take 15-20 minutes with a proper cleaning kit. If you need to eat off of it then maybe a bit longer ;)

The Swiss is probably one of if not the most accurate NR rifle out there regardless of what ammo you feed it. And definitely fun. You can get a AR mag adapter for it if you insist on using LAR-15 mags, but there are other options too, the XCR is a fine rifle, and if gizmo's and gadgets are your thing then it's the best modular NR rifle out of the box.

I run a Swiss and the Old man runs the XCR, their both fun, again my vote goes to the Swiss, but your preferences may differ from mine.

This video has both rifles in action.

Really? I've found the Swiss Arms to be one of the better ones accuracy wise. It certainly beats the VZ-58 and Tavor, and I don't think you can say that the SL8, MR1 and XCR are significantly more accurate than the Swiss (sure, some are better than others, but we're talking the big picture here). The biggest con to the Swiss Arms is the inability to free float the barrel, which does give the others a slight advantage, but considering a consistent 1MOA is possible out of the Swiss with the right ammunition, it's hardly a slouch in the accuracy department.
