in the market for a O/U to replace my pump (Mossberg 500)

Looking to get into clay/skeet shooting a few times in the summer months (ON) and for use for small game hunting in the fall.

Right now I’m considering these options from the second hand market

Mx budget range (assume same price for each)

Browning Citori 725
Beretta 686 SP
Beretta 690

Contenders (About 8-5 hundred cheaper)

Browning CX
Browning GTI
Beretta 686 onyx

Any feedback on appreciated. Thanks

I would try them before buying, as the Brownings tend to fit differently than Berreta shotguns- to the extent that some shooters shoot considerably better with one or the other brand.
Also, a gun like the 725 might be a bit heavier for an upland gun than you want to carry all day.
The Silver Pidgeon is a pretty nice gun for casual clays and upland hunting , if it fits you.

Browning and Beretta are opposite fits, find what fits you, especially drop at comb. Heavier is better for clays, lighter is better for carrying for upland birds.

None are bad options if they fit you
I'd choose the 686 myself but I prefer the shallower reciever on the beretta over the deep action of the browning. The browning will have better finishing and nicer wood if that matters

If you don't mind a Synthetic stock, Browning makes a model very similar to the CX with a synthetic stock, with adjustable comb, for considerably less than the CX. I haven't handled one, let alone fired one, so I can't speak to the balance or recoil.
