Which of these 3 bulk 22 are most accurate

My 10/22 loves the dynapoints and didn't do well at all with the fed 550 bulk pack (could have been an old/dirty batch). I'll try the 525 bulk packs this weekend. I'll also chrono everything I've got laying around next week. Everything has functioned well in factory mags. My BC mags didn't like Win Xperts or the 333s.

Buddy chrono'd 333's and Fed bulk and found the 333's to be EVERYwhere (150 fps variance) and the Fed's to be pretty dang consistant (not sure what that is in numbers but must be not bad).

When it comes to a quality rimfire product in any price point, Federal has for years made much better product than Winchester. It is my opinion that a great number of Win products are not as well manufactured as they would have you believe. FS

I just buy CCI Minimags now by the brick. Learned that from the 1022-it was the only thing it really liked. That and Velociters. Every other brand and type that I could find gave FTFs of some form so I stopped using them. I have currently 5 22lrs in all the standard mechanisms and they shoot really well in all of them. My little Winnie 1906 takedown inhales them. I havent seen an FTF in a long time. I dont buy my 22 ammo based on price cuz the stuff is so cheap to begin with. Seems to me the Federals came in a close second but I will test the CCIs in a Cooey 64 soon and that will tell me a lot.

I bought a brick of the federal value pack 22lr,I don't much care
for them past 50m.I was buying back in the 90's,Remington
thunderbolts.These are really good rounds,on a good day1/4"
at 100m,I could not get that with the federal ammo.

My cooey and savage both like the fed value packs from cnd tire.
I bought the win value pack last night, not sure how they'll shoot yet..

PowerPoint's shoot better in all my 22's than anything else that says Winchester on the box. Dynapoints run a reasonably close second (the stuff in the black box from CanTire does better than the stuff in the white box from Wal-Mart, but either one will stay solidly under an inch at 50 meters). Almost everything else Winchester makes for 22LR seems to "pattern" rather than "group" -- in all of my guns (Xpert's being the worst - 3 inch groups at 50 meters out of a gun that shoots 1/2 inch groups with PowerPoints).

This thread is too funny! I guess it depends on the gun, the shooter and the target distance. My anwser is same and diffrent then others here! With my Ruger 10/22 target I found the best (in accuracy) to be the 36 Grain 333, but recent shots show that the Federal 36 Grain 525 Packs to shoot just as well. My test with the Dynapoints 40 Grain were disapointing along with Remington 40 Grain Thuderbolts. So far I have determine that my Ruger likes 36 Grain over 40 and I have found the 333 rounds the least dirty of them all, with Frederal ammo at a close second. Just my own tests at he gun range between 50 - 100 yards. I can predict the drop better with the 36's.

Now I have just bought a Cooey Model 600 of a fellow CGN member and tested it out at only 30-50 yards. Accuracy is not so important here as the misfires I had with the 333 and Dynapoints. With the Dynapoints I's have 2-3 misfires everytime I realoaded the tube. I'm not a gunsmith but either the spring is to soft or the firing pin is warn (dosn't look to be). The Federal ammo still shot every time. I guess the rifle pics the ammo. :D

So buy a few bricks and try them. Make sure to mark you mags too when testing, I kept wondering wich ones I was shooting at first.

I have my dads old Cooey late 60's early 70's I haven't tried
with the feds yet,I'll try it this weekend and let you know.
But my MB-42 hates them.I'll round up some thunderbolts
and post comparative pictures 50-100m range.

here is what I have found at 29 yards with a 10/22 T

I have never tried the other two you mentioned, but the Win. Dynapoints are very decently accurate in my Lakefield 64b.

Get a box of 50, of each of the ammo you mentioned and try them out in your .22. Find out which one your rifle likes best. You can have the same model of .22 as someone else and it will not shoot the same, with the same ammo.

Dynapoint 40 grain hollowpoints handsdown. white box, not the gt. thats all i shoot from my marlin925. always consistantly small groups, tight crimps, few fliers, cheap... great bulk ammo. any other winny ammo oddly enough i've found to be complete junk.
