This is the age of miracles and wonder. And when I found the Chinese could do all their domestic stuff and still micromanage me using the drone I bought, I took it back to the store.Something belt fed might be able to mostly take down a Drone Swarm Dragon...... mostly....
Small FPV drones used to spot and bomb infantry as in Ukraine. We get this same question, in different forms, all the time here on CGN. "What's the best hunting rifle/shotgun?"
The answer is always the same, i.e. more information is needed to give a useful response. Vague questions are tough to answer.
Are we talking about pass shooting? Are the drones being called or baited? Perhaps they are driven drones, herded by a line of beaters towards waiting shooters? Are they upland drones that allow the use of lead shot, or are the drones migratory which calls for steel shot? Will the drones be eaten, or are we strictly talking about pest elimination? Will we be limited to wing-shooting, or can the drones be shot while stationary, ideally while landed on the operator's car or perhaps held in the hands?

Ah! In that case...I have no idea.Small FPV drones used to spot and bomb infantry as in Ukraine.

No offense intended, just kidding around; I didn't realize this was a serious question!
Long barrel, removable chokes and I'd suggest slightly heavier shot. I have brought down many pigeons using #4 shot. Pigeons would shrug off multiple hits of #7 and #8 shot. Slightly heavier will also carry energy further distance and you want to bring down a drone as far away as possibleOf my non Blackface prohibited shotguns, 20" Mossberg 590S with ghost ring, 28" Beretta A300 bead and a Turk Sinisatti box mag pump with RDS and BUIS, I'm pondering which one would be best.
All have removable chokes.
It's not tactical but I think I'd choose the Beretta with a full choke and 3" game load #6 lead shot.
Are you admitting to having shot down a drone? Cause that is SERIOUSLY illegal in Canada. It is the legal equivalent of shooting down an airplane.Belgium double 16 ga in the barn alley from 6ft head on works well. $1400 drone. Young fellows father threatened to sue. RCMP charged the young fellow. Community service and no record. They were racing them through the barn. If horses had of been inside it probably wouldn’t have been good. Private property and inside a building
You can't legally shoot down drones under any circumstances. One that would not mater if I lost it. Single shot 12 gauge.
You can't shoot down drones if they have a permit to fly over.
You should shoot down drones spying in your window or on back yard sunbathers.
You should NOT do this. Or at least you should not discuss it on the internets. It is highly illegal.I'd have a go with my 1301 Comp.
I've been thinking about buying a few of those little cheapo drones to give it a go.
I do have a better option if I had to down one. I also fly rc heli and my 700 would eat up a drone no problem. They'd both be wrecked but its just nutz and bolts to fix
I doubt he was was talking about ones that can shoot back....
Why else would you shoot it down?I doubt he was was talking about ones that can shoot back....

Yes, you could be charged for shooting down your own drone. The Transport Canada regulations do not distinguish between aircraft that are yours or not yours. As if he is going to get in trouble for shooting down his own drones. Maybe if he does it in town..? No doubt Men in Black approach to apprehend him for his comment, eh?
US Law: Under the U.S. Code Title 18, Section 32, it is a federal crime to damage or destroy an aircraft. This law extends to drones, as they are classified as aircraft by the FAA. Violating this law can result in up to 20 years in prison and significant fines. Additionally, the FAA has made it clear that shooting down a drone is a federal offense, and they have the authority to enforce these regulations. You cant be serious!?
My punk a$$ neighbour kid’s little mavic mini spying on my daughter and her friends in the pool is equivalent to an airplane!?
