Which one for you???

Well of the two unsavourey choices make mine an SKS.

I had one for a spell a few years back. Bought it for a hundred bucks from a guy that needed some cash. Bought a s**t load of cheap ammo and did a lot of off hand practice. My experience is like Gate's - you can't make these things not work. Dependability is definitely there.

Other than that the trigger is about as bad as it gets. Heavy, creep, lots of overtravel. Its a pain in the ass to clean up all the brass. They're about as fugly as it can get.

Ended up selling it to a CGN who needed parts for a project for you guessed it, a hundred bucks. He ended up keeping it as is, as it was in good shape. Once in a while I wish I still had an sks - mostly to let newbies blast away at the club. Cheap practice gun...:)

Seeing as most zombie combat is well within 300 meters, and most hunting esp' here on Vancouver Island is well within 150 meters (if not 50 meters), this Rifle fits the bill nicely.

sks

Calum, if you're seeing zombies or double then perhaps that commie grease on the sks has some mind bending quality too it. If it does then that's the only good thing about the sks rifle.:runaway:
