which one is better ? summit 180 max or Ameristep

Hi There I would like to buy a self-climbing treestand but don't know which one is better ? any of you have ever tried above climber treestand and give me some suggestion ? I am 6 foot tall and weight 190 lbs,prefer light weight and comfort one,any help would appreciated,

I have the 180 Max and I am satisfied with it. It is very comfortable. That being said I would look at one of the other models. I very rarely use the 180 feature as you end up looking at a tree which is workable with a firearm, not the best for a crossbow. It is also a pain to switch the seat direction at altitude as I need to take my gloves off to configure the snaps and straps.

I would go with a Summit stand (just not the 180 Max) as they are very well made and extremely comfortable.

I have no opinions of the other model you mentioned. Good luck.

I have a Summit Goliath SS and I love it! i did alot of research before purchasing it, and all the reviews were dead on! I'm a fairly big guy (6'2, 220 lbs) and this stand still offers plenty of room for all my needs. Lightweight, quiet and roomy (and very secure) The only complaint I have are the miniscule straps it comes with. I bought some aftermarket ones instead.
