Which one-last-handgun to buy?

The fear is that I will spend $700 only to lose use of the gun before getting my monies worth out of it. I don't have a lot of free spending money and my cash flow in particular is low. By all means I WANT to buy, but it's just not a responsible move for me right now.

Normally I have the option to sell a gun if I don't like it or want to free up funds to try something else. Normally I wouldn't be concerned about the fact it's almost summer and thus I won't be shooting R guns much if at all over the next few months. But these aren't normal times.
 
Don't waste your money. The sport is done. No one is going to save it or bring it back. All guns will be gone soon but someone here will call me an idiot and say noooooooooo
 
Bit the bullet and ordered one of my (actually obtainable) grails; a Beretta M9. Trying to think of what else I'd potentially want but honestly I'm fairly content with the stuff I have now until things change for the better, however unlikely it may seem right now.
 
Well I was waiting to see if there was going to be a Canadian military version of the M17 come out. But since I cant wait that long I just got the current version
 
I am tempted to get a Manurhin MR73. however, my gut instinct is the Libs will wait till every one spends their hard earned cash and then OIC a confiscation later on. Past behavior predicts future behavior.
