your customer will either imply or say straight out that your ripping them off

No one is implying the importers of the Tavor or any other firearms are 'ripping people off'.:kickInTheNuts:

Price is also a function of what people are willing to pay - not necessarily what good or service is actually worth. I hope Canada Ammo gets rich selling Tavors, because that means mine finally shipped! :p

Tavor - just because it IS a bullpup.

I've got enough experience with AR-15/AR-10/M-14/Mini 14 rifles ... time to try something different. I liked the AUG I shot [ 20 rds ] years ago, and I've always wanted to bullpup an M-14/Mini 14/CZ just for giggles. Now I have the chance to get a factory bullpup that is legal for the bush.
What could be better than that?

Only thing I can think of, is IF the Tavor can be made available without the optical sight.

"Amazing... troll posts to out right ass kissing all in one thread"

No ass kissing, that's actually what it's like, did you catch the "can we get the STG 44 repro in 7.62x39" threads - or how about all the "it costs $x.xx in the States why does it cost $y.yy in Canada, and I can smuggle one in cheaper" posts. Twenty years ago I heard that alot.

Both the Swiss Arms and the Tavor are more than up to a tough Saturday at the local range, ruthlessly moving down innocent pieces of paper. Pick the one that suits you best, and be thankfull we can get them, but please - don't whine. Frankly, I'd be thrilled with either.

When's your birthday, Geo? I'll be getting both this summer, so I can give you my review shortly after.

The only acceptable option is GET BOTH, really. But, of course, start with the Tavor. Why? Rounds 6-10 and for the same price it comes with optics.

Some reasons I chose the Tavor over the Sig...

- Takes AR mags (which means you can now take 10 rounders to the bush)
- AR mags are much cheaper than Sig mags
- Tavor is much more compact (if that's your thing. could be good or bad, but for me it's a plus)
- Fully ambidextrous (actually not sure what the scoop is with the Sig in this regard)

The only major downside I see in the Tavor is the fact that I would rather buy it without the Mepro 21, and would like to see at least a top rail.
