Hey totally new to this thing. Been looking to get a .223 semi-auto non restricted for fun around the house. maybe even shoot a coyote or two hehe. Ive been seeing a lot of info on here. What do you guys suggest. Has to be non-restricted I don't want to get in trouble.

Thanks Anonymous Mike.

What kinda budget are you looking at?.

MR-1 is my choice for the quality you get for the money, but if i spend 5K. Swiss Arms and the best scope to add up to 5K... JP.

You have two choices:

(1) The expensive route - You can do what I did: own them all and then come to the realization that the Swiss Arms is the best non-restricted "black" rifle.

(2) The cheap route - Take my advice and buy a Swiss Arms right off the bat.

All roads eventually lead to the Swiss Arms.

Here's mine sporting an NEA lower:

Mine didn't come with a dog........

...... Er, .....that IS a dog, isn't it?

Awwwwww.... OF COURSE she's a dog! :p

She just happens to be the most beautiful dog in the world. :D

You'll see her in many of my photos, not because I put her in them, but because she is up my ass 24/7. She's basically attached herself to me.

I did not like the Swiss Arms that much... But I never shot it with the NEA lower!! I like the XCR-L better than the original Black/green/blue/red special... If a skinny barrel could finally be obtained for it in 18.5" length, it would be almost perfect... At least for me, until the AR is declassified... (vote CPC!)

I'd say a Swiss Arms too, if your budget is 5K

If you want to put ANY scope on it, I highly suggest getting the flat top target model (black special target) as it will make mounting scopes much MUCH easier. You can get them lower and further back depending on how your eye relief/head position is.

For red dots and that sort of stuff, the diopter drum sights are VERY nice to have as backups!

Ya Bully breeds are like that. She will never be in a room that your not in. Maybe during a deep sleep but she'll wake up find you and go back to bed. My pit is usually within 10 feet of me, on me if permitting.

Spoken for truth.

I don't even own a Swiss Arms yet, but for NR purposes, reliability, and "If I can only have one", this is the best bet hands down.

I have a Swiss Arms box at home I put cash into. Im hoping next year at this time to have one.

Is it just more or does the ergo on the SAN rifles just not work as well as AR-like stuff?

I WANT to like them (and the Tavor!) but something about how they are layed-out just jumps out as being inefficient.
