any opinions on the better between the 3.5" mag pump guns?
trying to decide between the 870 super mag, nova, p-350, and the mossberg 535 or 835. have heard there was a problem with the 870 ejecting shells. anybody seen this?

please tell me your opinions or experiences with any or all.

Most shooting will be ducks and geese, the odd turkey, and some clay pigeon, but no competitions

I'd stay away from the P-350, the two I have seen won't reliably eject 2 3/4" shells. The nova would be a good bet. I have heard the 870 EXPRESS super mag's have had some issues but I can't confirm. I have no experience with the mossbergs, other than I know they are a lot more difficult to strip when compared to an 870.

I'd go Nova then Mossberg 835 then the rest. Only really junky shotgun I've ever shotwas a recent production Express, the quality has definitely slipped, if you could find an older one with a 31/2 chamber then It would probably serve you well.

Nova or Super Nova here too. It's high quality, light, and very strong.

I have the Nova.

Wish i'd got the Super Nova though but for the extra money a good "limb saver" will do the job nicely on an outing where you fire only 3.5" loads at goose all day.

I own many shotguns but Benelli is really the way to go when it comes to a pump. (Well that or a Fabarm)

Good luck.

I own a p350 and all ive put through it so far is about 500 rounds of light loads 2 3/4 target shot from canadian tire and have had zero problems. the gun feels good ,I have the 28 inch barrel all camo, and to me for the price its a sweet gun. I bought it to do what you want in a gun and it came with 5 choke tubes so now I can.

im sure there are lemons like anything, but mine has given me no issues
