I need to find out which mounting stud is used to mount the harris bipod1A2 I just got one but it didnt have a mounting stud with it. After looking at the Harris site I feel that the NO.2A would be my best bet. I ll be mounting it to a M305

But I figured that I would check with the crowd here

2nd stud location worked for me the bipod base will not cover the gas port. Probably won't bother the cycling but sure will fry the hell out of the bipod rubber stock protector. Just my 2 cents worth!

I used #5, though on a USGI fibreglass after market stock for my M-305.

#2R is recommended for wood fore-ends on the Harris website because of its radiused flange:
