Of the ones you have listed. The Elite Dark.
Great look and good features. I love the Beavertail.
1911s have them and no one complains.

I was going to get the Dark Elite....but I decided what the hay and picked up the 220 Match Elite instead. It's Fantastic.

I bought a NIB 1984 West German marked stamped steel slide P220 a few years ago.
Can't tell you how the new 220 Sigs shoot( I suspect they are inferior) but my Sig will nail 2-3 inch groups at 25 yards or hit a 6 inch gong at 50 yards all day long. For a service pistol it's damn accurate. It will eat all ammo, ball, semi wads, hollowpoint, lead, jacketed, whatever.
 
Well, based on the amazing input/feedback and since I voted in my own poll, I guess the Elite Dark is what I'll be ordering along with all black Hogue checkered G10 grips.

Anyone know what kind of holster would be great for this gun?

The stainless guns look like real beauties!
Is there really that much of a difference in weight that it would help muzzle rise an awful lot?

A Bladetech Drop off-set holster...I have 2. One for my 5" barreled Sig220 and One for a 4 1/2" Sig 220 (pic below of 4 1/2" model)

I am not a fan of the SIG wood grips. They are great quality, but they just make the grip to big (wide). I have big hands too.
I love the aluminum grips, just right. I would like to try out those G10 grips, they look nice too.

How do you find the light on the unit?
Would you happen by any chance to have a picture of yours mounted?
Does it give way too much of a flood beam, a nice pencil beam or the best of both?

Cabela's dont have it... You can get it for $270 US on Ebay plus shipping, duty and taxes. It will come down to what Wanstalls sells it for or more and you'll get it quicker with Wanstalls.

I would say the best of both, not as bright and wide as my X400 but for nearly half the price and 70 lumens less it's more than enough for every low light/night CQB/SD/Tactical situation you could encounter.

I'll try to take some pics this week and will post them on the thread.
 
I used to have a P220 - German made, bought it new around 2002.

I put about 7500 rounds through it, before I traded it for a S&W M&P .45.

I'm very happy with the deal I made.

YMMV.

If anyone knows, which of the above sponsors has the best price/service on the Sig P220 Elite Dark?

Are ProMag magazines any good or should I only use the Sig brand?

I prefer the M&P for consistent trigger pull, the quick change back strap, the more local service / after sales support, and the much lower price.

Again, your mileage may vary, but I got weary of the P220 TDA trigger fairly quickly, and I was surprised at how a Sig was less than 100% reliable - The Smith and Wesson, although still fairly new, has been better for reliability so far.
