Which Powder?

90g?? what twist rate is your barrel to shoot those in 223. I use varget for all my 223 but cannot handle those puppies
Ron it will work well better than 550 very accurate and 2800 ft speed but there is a pitfall using double base powders and in the heat we get in Ottawa
30 to 38c you will have problems like I have had with double base powders.
Maybe if you can get two accuracy loads one lower for tyhe hot days??

You'll need a 1 in 7 twist for sure.
I've tried Varget, VV N550, RL17 and H4350 with the 90 Gr Berger VLD #22423. Best results were with VV N550 around 2800 fps and H4350 around 2750 fps. For the VLDs you'll need a seating die with a stem designed for the long/pointy profile or you'll damage the tip when seating. I use a Forster benchrest seater.
Just recently picked up some Berger 90 gr Match BT Long Range Target #22426 and will try them soon.
