I reload for my rifles but have decided to reload for my 12 gauge slug gun.
In looking for suggestions of which press to buy and any other items I will need for reloading.

I plan to purchase the slugs - dont have enough time to make my own. maybe the Thug Slug from Ammo Supply or see what Budget Shooter has.

I have looked at the Lee Press - which is the cheapest, then the MEC Jr and then the MEC Sizemaster
I really dont know if I need something like the sizemaster for reloading 12 gauge slugs
I would love to be able to go out and practice shooting a couple hundred rounds but cant to that with the cost of ammo .. so its time to assemble my own

Your input would be greatly appreciated

My brother has the lee load all II, I tried it and it seemed to fidley . So for a while now I load slugs by hand . I'm willing to bet I can load 100 slug/shells by hand faster than someone with a press.

I have a lee loadable 2 does a good job for the money. If you cast makes even cheaper. Lee 1oz and 7/8oz molds make nice slugs. Lee comes with all bushings.

I have a Lee Load-All in 12 and 20 gauge. I have a Mec Jr in 20ga and .410. I've had the Lee 20ga for 36yrs. It still works great. I make ALL my 20ga and .410 shells, but only load buck and slugs with the 12ga. Lee slugs have proven accurate. If I have to choose between Lee and Mec, it'll be Lee all day. But Lee does not make a .410 load-All, so...
