Which red dot do you use on slug shotgun? TRS-25 failed twice on me today

Generally, I was very happy with TRS-25 until I tried it on MH-S slug shotgun. Slugs 1-1 1/8, 2 3/4
bolt broke on two TRS-25. Here is the video of the damage:

Is it possible you overtorqued the crossbolt? Not saying that’s what happened, but it could cause it to fail like that.

im pretty happy with mine but on nothing stronger than 7.62.

could be. but also with recoil red dot was disappearing, so i had to wiggle the tourette a bit to get it back... maybe counterfait product... though i got it from amazon. who knows. anyways, i hope people here suggest what do they use. I have trs-25 on 7.62x39 platforms-no problems there.... looks like mh-s shotgun with slugs is an extreme recoil for trs-25 and yes, I might have over-tightenned the screw

Put on a fast fire 3 that I had laying around on my m4, only been out with with it once so far , and no slugs but so far so good.

The TRS-25 is a POS.

For a bit more money look at a Vortex or Holosun product. I have had multiples of each and they will actually take a beating.

Just for shytes and giggles,I put a TRS 25 on a Rem 700 .270. It works great.

Holosun is pretty solid. They frequently go on sale at 200$, not much more than a TRS.

I’ve over tightened and stripped my trs25 claw, it’s really easy to do it. The manual says to hand tighten it then go a 1/4 turn more iirc. The claw is aluminum, I was able to re tap it to an 8/32. If it’s a legit one it should handle slug recoil fine, I’ve had one one a supple 12g pumps for years, they see mainly heavy loads (slugs and 00buck) and it has never failed me.

I have the earliest Burris FF on a CZ 22/410.
Nice to have in the shadows of boreal forest.

I have found the Aimpoint T-1 with a 4MOA works pretty good, you can even get a shotgun specific one called the S-1 I've been told.
