If i was to buy a rifle and do no aftermarket on it, which one you precision buffs would recommend, a Savage a Browning a Remmy that would no be a 308 ( 308 i've got 15 of them ), is there a model in the suggested caliber that could hold itself in a competition... JP.

NOTB.

None of the above.

I need suggestions, sending my Nemesis in the states, not sure i want to do it, what Jerry from Mystic said had me thinking, i'd rather buy a whole new rifle let say in 7mm, target or tactical put a super good scope and reload top ammo for competing just a little bit, i need suggestions from the pro, i have no experience building a rifle ... JP.

There are several in Canada that can do a fine job of putting a barrel in your rifle. Where are you located to save you some shipping? There seems to be a thinking that you can only have fine work done in the USA!! BUT there are only a few in Canada that do really good work. Tell us where you are and we will give you some ideas. Depending on cost it may be better to buy a whole new rifle, none of it needs to come from the USA to be world class.

No excuse i will be there but for other competition i was told the 308 is not a good choice... JP.

You'll have to describe what kind of competition - F-Class, ISU, NSCC, etc.

FWIW, I use a Remington action in F-TR.

If you're shooting F-TR your nemesis should do just fine! It would be very cool to see how it shoots when put up against other nice rifles. If you are thinking F-Open a custom is probably the way to go with an exception being perhaps the Savage factory offer in 6br.

In the Nemesis you have a rifle that you can shoot exceptionally well. Why would you risk switching the barrel for one that may or may not shoot as good when your done?
Why don't you start competing now with the excellent platform you have? That way you could learn first hand what you need to compete, gain experience and learn from the other shooters.

Its only 3500km away, if someone puts one on in western canada I will be all over it.

We do have one in Western Canada - this weekend marks the third annual Western Canada F-Class Championship.

Manitoba was 2010, Alberta 2011 and Saskatchewan is 2012 - back to Manitoba in 2013, as BC only goes out to 600m. Nokomis is about 7 hrs from Calgary and worth the trip - it's a challenging range.

Nothing holding you back now - see you there!
