Which rifle do you recommend!?

I have a 70's Browning in .308 with a scope, my other rifle is a Winchester 30.30 with no scope. It is very cool to have the different option and makes it interesting shooting with iron sights. I think it is something you may really enjoy.

Lighter and lighter guns = more felt recoil. You can have the 6 pound guns i will stick to laminated or good old wood. This all started with a guy asking about a backup rifle. I would buy a second 3006 as you already have all the kit for it. I would run pic rails on both as then you could just swap scopes. Instead of buying a 2nd one then you could buy a nicer more expensive scooe and get the benifits of say a s&b or premier. Why compicate it more keep it simple.
Unless you want the second rifle as a little more of a heavy hitter. Then the 300wsm is not much different then the 3006 you have. Small increase in speed same recoil not worth the extra money. Move to a 300wm and that is a little better as the case design will let you run 200+gr bullits easier. Up to you and what you intend to hunt.

As time goes by it seems that shooters obtain more rifles - over a variety of calibers, and use each one for certain kinds of hunting scenarios. A light weight is not helpful when stepping up in caliber and velocity as recoil increases and a shooter can develop a flinch - which is hard to get rid of. So when picking up a new caliber / rifle it has always centered around what I would use the rifle for...? Like a 300 WSM is one of the moose calibers... The 270 would be used for deer. The 30-06 for moose or deer. etc, etc. What yardages do I anticipate shooting... A lot of purchases have been based on cost, ammo availability and purpose. A thirty thirty is a good rifle if closer range comes into the mix. It may the only rifle that I consider a light rig. Sure I'd use it on moose but not as a primary cartridge for moose. So there are variables to consider and experience give us the insight that is helpful when choosing a given rifle / caliber combination. I have little to no interest in a light weight rifle with a heavier caliber. These types of rifles are just not too pleasant to shoot.

If you are buying a tikka ln a 300 7mag or 300wsm be sure to go to the dentist and make sure each and every tooth and filling is solid because when you shoot you will feel each one make an attempt to rattle out.
I love my tikkas but anything in the magnum spectrum is just not worth it. The 3006 is the best all around caliber out there no matter what anyone says. Maybe look at getting a lighter scope.

Bashaw recently had a sale on Leupold VX 3 scopes if you want light weight in a scope.
I do not know your burris but...
Upgrade in optics is usually a good thing...
