Which rifle for daughter?

The Savages aren't much more $$$ than the Norinco. If money is a factor and it must be new, you might want to look at that. If new isn't an issue you might want to look at a used Cooey or Mossberg. I got a Cooey single shot bolt action off the exchange forum last year for $30, and a Mossberg semi about 10 yrs ago for a case of beer. Don't expect to find deals like that everday, but you should be able to find a very nice used 22 for $150 or less.

Whats wrong with a cooey single shot? It was my first rifle and its great for teaching safe shooting to a newbie.

there must some around in good condition. (I'm not selling mine either)
