I've got the mp22 as well, perfect training gun for my bigger mp toys.
Also got the gsg22, again perfect trainer for my 45's.
In fact I also have the S&W 422 that was mentioned above.
At the end of the day they are all good guns.
I've had no critical errors with any.
But if I had to keep only 1 I'd keep the buck mark.
While not as 'pretty' as the others, definitely the most comfy to shoot and most accurate.
Fortunately for me I can keep them all, cause I like them all, haha!

Actually Jason is out of Alberta.
They do have a office in the US, but they definitely do have a Canadian office around Edmonton.
Also, shooters choice out of Calgary has them in stock.

They are a Canadian gun shop, located in Edmonton,with a location in the US. No different than your LGS getting there product from a US distributor.

They have a reputation of the slides coming apart!Id love a Ruger SR22 but Ruger doesnt care about the Canadian market (id love a few BX-25 mags too)
Closest thing is probably the Walther P22 but ive read they have problems

Both are nice but the CZKADET is very, very nice more bucks but worth it.

GSG/ Sig 1911 gets my vote, runs nice and eats federal bulk pack without complaining.

FWIW, Browning. Tried both in the past. The Buckmark is about as point and shoot friendly as you can get. But, like a previous poster said, handle both of them. Only opinion that matters is your own.
+1 for the GSG 1911. More so than the Ruger or the Buckmark, it will be a great trainer pistol for anything that has a same/similar grip angle to a 1911 (CZ, Springfield XD). It's a great pistol, with some fine tuning. YMMV, but I had to polish the rails on the frame and the slide to get it to cycle properly, and stretch my mag springs. Maybe I'm crazy but all that extra work (none of it is hard, everything can be found on YouTube) made me love that gun even more.

Well, I ended up buying my new .22 today and decided on the Ruger Black Lite....A few reasons, more accessories for the Ruger ie grips etc, sights are easy to change out...Threaded barrel if ever.... and a hundred dollars cheaper than the Buckmark lite. So now I wait until it comes in the mail and I get to the range...Let you all know how it turns out.

be aware about the grips.
while you CAN run normal 1911 grips on it, Hogue does have them listed separately if you want an EXACT fit.
i ordered mine directly from Hogue as there was no one in canada with with 22/45 Lite grips in stock.
the difference being you will have to cut a bit of rubber off the 1911 ones to get them to fit past the controls, also the 22/45 one is thinner then the 1911 ones.
