My 20 some year old 270 BDL was never a real tack driver using any 130 grain load either factory or handloaded and I just left it that way.
It was good enough to take whitetails at 200 yards but never was a tight grouper on paper.
About 4 years ago I loaded up 2 boxes of 150 grain Ballistic tips over top of IMR 4831 and just like that it tightened the 100 yard groups to one inch or less.
The 130 grain jobs were hard pressed to stay under 2 inches and most were closer to 3" at 100.
Either I learned to shoot better or my Remington just likes 150 grainers better than 130's.
