Which round shot by a rifle had the most devastating effect during WW2?

I still have about 250 rounds of that stuff desporterizer. I don't shoot it much anymore either :) It's still neat to learn more and more about it. Thanks Smellie!

Wow you guys sure are having fun with that. A little bit of schadenfreude never hurt no one, right? Dicks.

The Hague Accord is still the one that deals specifically with bullets, and the Geneva ConventionS sure haven't had much of an impact regardless. As for my other complaints (cutting coils on a return spring to decrease rate of fire?), I see they were conveniently ignored.

An on-topic segue for a change; 7.92mm gets my vote.
