Which Savage .308 Rifle to BUY?

Would the stainless steel barrels have much less chance to corrode / surface rust ?
Is the Nikon 3-9x40 BDC Reticle scope good?
How about the Weaver Kaspa 3-9x40 scope?

Scout scopes can be had from Burris, 2.75X and Leupold EER 2X. I've used both and prefer the Leupold. I've used this arrangement out to a quarter mile, and never felt seriously disadvantaged, given practical targets. If you want a conventional scope, Weaver is the better scope of the two, but Leupold and Burris are better IMHO.

I believe the ONLY quality Savage in 308 is the model 99.

And the older model 24's .22/.410 when they actually regulated the barrels.Otherwise just buy a T3 or the Ruger Scout rifle.....Harold

So if I got it in a different caliber like 30-06 it would be better?
